Global, multi location brand implementation for FedEx
Having worked with FedEx Express for over twenty years, we were invited to arrange the survey, manufacture and installation of new signs to rebrand TNT to FedEx. This meant that all existing signage had to be surveyed with detailed designs being drawn up using the new branding, typeface and manufacturing/construction specification.
This turnkey project involved detailed design and value engineering, project management, patch and repair and decoration works, road markings, signage manufacture and installation.
One of the key challenges of this large-scale project was that all sign designs and materials had to comply with FedEx’s world-wide branding guidelines. To achieve this we worked very closely with both their design partner and their marketing department in the United States where our full scheme was devised, approved, manufactured and installed.
Another key challenge was that we had to abide by strict health and safety guidelines, and work within the confines of each site, to minimise disruption. This meant that most of the work was undertaken at the weekends, or overnight.
Some less busy areas could be worked on during normal hours, but liaising with each of the senior site managers was critical to concluding the works efficiently and on time. It also meant that all electrical and decoration works had to be programmed first, followed by the signage installation.
We continue to have a very good relationship with the team at FedEx and are their preferred supplier going forward, for the rebrand implementation of TNT to FedEx and any news sites that are being developed.
