A multi-site global company sign rollout for Hitachi following its acquisition of a majority shareholding stake in ABB Power Grid.

Company acquisitions almost inevitably lead to a corporate rebranding and a subsequent company sign roll-out, and this was the case with ABB Power Grid following the acquisition by Hitachi of a majority stake in the business.

We were responsible for a range of sites across Europe, the Middle East, America and Asia.

Challenge

With any project on this global scale, our challenge is to work within the wider timeframes of the larger project, and collaborate with the company’s design teams to ensure complete compliance with brand guidelines and designs, while ensuring an expert installation.

With these 16 installations we were responsible for pre-site surveys, designs, securing local planning permissions, manufacture and installation.

A critical part in any multi-site project such as this is the pre-site survey as this is essential to de-risking every possible element of the project, from issues such as cost control and external conditions (heat, wind, rain), and site access.
