New corporate signage and a value engineering exercise for a sustainable car dealership.

Motorparks aims to be a car dealership with a difference, as you can see from its hotel lobby-like showrooms and distinctive brand styling. They’re also on a mission to be net zero and achieve sustainability on every car they sell - hence their strapline ‘Drive to Net Zero’. And it’s within this context that we were tasked to prove our credentials with new corporate signage in an initial 5 site contract.

Challenge

The company has big expansion ambitions, so a key focus of this commission was to come up with a design and value engineering solution that demonstrated our approach to sustainability and value for money.

At the same time, given a very tight 3 month time frame, we needed to demonstrate to the client how this could be rolled out across a geographically dispersed selection of outlets in Warrington, Oldham, Ashford, Chelmsford and Preston.

Solution

Working for main contractor Vanguard Contracts our first objective was to present how their new brand identity and corporate signage would look across the five sites earmarked for the initial re-brand. Because time was of the essence we presented mock ups in person to their management team along with CGI renderings to show the longer term development of our ideas.

Also, because all sites were fully operational ‘live’ retail environments, we had to adhere to the usual very stringent health and safety protocols.

Result

The success of these trial sites has led to two further commissions for Bury and Canterbury in 2024.

This is a great example of how both our consultative approach, and the proven Pearce approach to brand implementation play an important role in building trust - and how sustainability is of increasing importance to all our clients.
