SLB (formerly Schlumberger) is a global technology company focused on devising innovative tech solutions that help reduce industry’s carbon footprint. Deploying science, engineering and digital expertise to a global portfolio of sustainable energy generation initiatives, what SLB does is big, ambitious and important.

As a global brand implementation business with our own ambitious sustainability agenda, what SLB is doing really resonates with us.

So the opportunity to work on their global corporate rebranding from Schlumberger to SLB was as exciting as it was challenging.

Requirement

Through their new corporate brand identity, SLB wanted to convey themselves as a tech-led innovations business with global reach and impact. Given the heritage of the business, they have developed a far reaching global estate: 450 locations across 60 countries. 

Not surprisingly, given their ambitious remit, a key factor to this global company sign rollout programme was the use of sustainable materials. This is an area of innovation that we’ve already delivered on with clients such as NatWest


Solution

For SLB, our portfolio of signs for different external and internal parts of their global network of offices and R & D facilities were created from closed loop materials which is a process whereby we look at the future recycling potential and repurposing of the signage that we make. On this project we also used carbon modelling to evaluate the impact of the materials that we specified.

Working to the standards set by SLB, and within the framework of their new corporate brand guidelines, this global reach implementation project was overseen by our own project management office, working in collaboration with SLB’s locally placed facilities management teams.
